A former Singapore National Team representative and multiple-time Singapore National Champion, Coach Xin Yi brings years of skating experience and international training exposure to Ice Penguin. With a strong foundation in competitive figure skating, she represented Singapore at both national and international competitions from Novice to Senior level. Her experience as an elite athlete allows her to guide skaters with a well-rounded approach focused on strong skating fundamentals, technical development, artistry, confidence, and long-term progression. Ice Skating & Ice Hockey Senior Coach
A former Singapore National Ice Hockey player, he represented the country at the Challenge Cup of Asia (2008–2016), the Asian Winter Games, and the 2017 SEA Games. Senior Coach Micheal brings over a decade of international coaching and competitive experience to Ice Penguin, making him one of Singapore's most experienced ice sports coaches. He later served as Head Coach of the Singapore Women's National Ice Hockey Team from 2013 to 2019, leading and developing athletes at the national level. With a strong foundation in both ice hockey and ice skating, Coach Micheal emphasizes excellent skating technique, edge control, balance, and efficient movement—skills that form the cornerstone of every successful skater, regardless of age or ability. His coaching career has taken him across South Korea, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, China, and Thailand, where he has gained valuable experience from diverse coaching systems and international training environments. Whether coaching first-time skaters or competitive athletes, Coach Micheal is passionate about developing confident, technically sound skaters through structured, engaging, and progressive coaching. His patient approach, combined with years of elite playing and coaching experience, helps every student build a strong foundation while fostering a lifelong love for ice sports.

Representing Singapore on the international stage, Coach Sherwin is an active member of the Singapore Men's National Ice Hockey Team and competed at the 2025 SEA Games. Coach Sherwin brings competitive experience and structured high-performance training knowledge to Ice Penguin. With a strong background in ice hockey, ice skating, and inline skating, he has coached athletes from beginner to competitive level, focusing on skating fundamentals, technical precision, and progressive skill development. His experience across multiple skating disciplines allows him to provide well-rounded coaching that helps students build confidence, develop proper technique, and enjoy the learning process. He has coached in a variety of roles throughout his career, including: Ice Hockey & Ice Skating Coach (2022–2025) Inline Skating Coach (2020–2025) Ice Marshal (2019–2022) From coaching beginners taking their first strides to supporting competitive athletes in their development, his journey reflects dedication, professionalism, and a passion for growing the sport. Ice Skating & Ice Hockey Coach
Representing Singapore at the SEA Games 2025, our coach brings valuable international competition experience and structured training knowledge to Ice Penguin. She has represented Singapore internationally, including the IIHF World Championship Division 3B in Estonia (2024) and Bosnia (2025), and returned again in 2026 to continue building her experience at the international level. She was also part of the team that secured a bronze medal at the SEA Games 2025 and also actively participates in regional and recreational tournaments such as the Tournament in Thailand, and has trained internationally across countries including Korea, Taiwan, Finland, Prague, and Thailand, gaining exposure to different coaching systems and playing styles. Coach Jess has proudly represented Singapore on the international stage, competing in the 2025 SEA Games as part of the Women's Ice Hockey competition. She is also an experienced ice skater, with a strong skating background that forms the foundation of her on-ice performance. Her experience in ice skating and competitive ice hockey allows her to coach with a well-rounded approach, helping skaters develop strong fundamentals, edge control, balance, confidence, and overall skating skills.
