No, Ice Penguin uses a high-quality synthetic ice surface designed for skating training and skill development.
It provides a safe and controlled environment for beginners to learn skating fundamentals before progressing to a real ice rink.
Is synthetic ice different from real ice?
Yes, the experience is slightly different. Synthetic ice has more resistance, which helps skaters build stronger technique, balance, and control.
Many beginners find it beneficial as it helps them learn faster and gain confidence before moving to real ice.
Can I book a trial lesson?

What if I’m not sure whether my child or myself is ready for Figure Skating or Ice Hockey?
if you or your child already has skating experience which we require but may need a refresher, we recommend starting with a few lessons at their appropriate level.
Our coaches can assess your current ability, help brush up on the skating skills, and determine the most suitable programme.
This ensures you or your child builds a strong foundation and confidence before progressing into Figure Skating or Ice Hockey programmes.
How early should I book my lesson?
Lessons must be booked at least 48 hours before the scheduled session. This allows our team to make the necessary arrangements and ensure coaches and staff are properly scheduled.
Time slots will no longer be available through the booking system within 48 hours of the lesson. For last-minute requests, please contact us directly. Such requests are subject to availability and approval.
Where can I find more information about each lesson?
On top of what provided in the website, details for each lesson are provided in the booking system. Please click on “Read More” under the selected lesson, where all necessary information, including programme details, requirements, and terms, will be available.
Can parents or siblings from different age groups join the same class?
yes, parents or siblings from different age groups may join the same class. However, each participant must book and pay for a separate session based on the same time slots.

For families with children of different ages, who are joining the class we recommend joining the lesson suitable for the younger child, as it will be more manageable and comfortable for the kids.
